About The Position
Develops, coordinates and delivers care to newly delivered maternity patient population on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Maintains the standards for IBLCL lactation consultants as delineated by the International Lactation Consultant Association. Collaborates with RN or other health care workers as appropriate. Must be available to work day/evening and/or weekend hours; 12-hour shifts, to help support both inpatient post-partum patients with breastfeeding as well as teach community breastfeeding education courses, see patients in outpatient clinic.
Requirements
- Certification by International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLC).
- Previous experience as Lactation Consultant in a hospital or clinic setting required.
- CPR.
