About The Position

St. Catherine's School is seeking coaches at the JV and Middle School levels to join an established lacrosse program. Both head and assistant coach positions are available. The role involves planning, organizing, and leading effective lacrosse practices and competitions, teaching fundamental skills, game strategies, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Coaches are responsible for supervising student-athletes, creating a positive team environment, and preparing team-related activities. This is a salaried, exempt, temporary position tied to the seasonal sport.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Lacrosse playing and/or coaching experience
Strong communication skills
Demonstrate strong leadership skills
Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and lead effective lacrosse practices, training sessions, and competitions that support the development of student-athletes
Teach and reinforce fundamental lacrosse skills, game strategies, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong understanding of the game
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, team activities, and travel in accordance with School policies and safety expectations
Create a positive, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate team environment that reflects the School’s mission and values
Prepare and manage practice plans, game strategies, lineups, and other team-related activities
Set a tone of professionalism among coaches, athletes, and parents
