About The Position

Looking for a hands-on role where you can make an impact? Joining ATCO as a Labourer is the perfect opportunity to jumpstart your career in the natural gas industry. Whether you’re starting fresh or bringing transferable skills from another field, we’ll provide the training and support you need to thrive. As a Labourer in our Pressure Control group, you’ll work independently in the field collecting gas samples from station sites across the region. This role involves driving, data entry, and occasional interaction with customers – perfect for someone who enjoys routine, hands on work, with a focus on safety.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Valid Alberta Class '5' Driver’s License with a clean driver abstract; may be required to obtain a higher class or certification as needed.
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment testing, including background check and drug and alcohol screening.
• Ability to work alone and manage a structured daily routine.
• Physical ability to lift lids, handle small instruments, and move safely through station sites.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in labelling, record keeping, and data entry.
• Basic computer skills and comfort working with digital maps or data entry systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a gas utility, oil & gas fieldwork, environmental sampling, or field labour roles is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Travel across the region to collect gas samples from various sites and customer locations.
• Labelling and safely delivering gas samples to the lab for analysis.
• Navigating and recording information using OFS and/or GIS mapping software.
• Entering data accurately and maintaining sampling records.
• Working safely in a variety of outdoor and industrial environments, including maneuvering lids at FTU’s (Farm Tap Units) and navigating sites.
• Occasionally interacting with customers in a professional and respectful manner.
• Perform other duties to support the Pressure Control Team.
