About The Position
We are currently looking for a Labourer to join our team in Laval. The Labourer will play a key role in the daily operations of the site. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, handling, and preparing metals. This is a dynamic position that combines manual labour, physical work, and teamwork in an industrial environment.
Requirements
- Physically fit and enjoy manual labour and material handling
- Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks
- Work safely and follow health and safety procedures
- Responsible, resourceful, versatile, and enjoy working as part of a team
- Able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience in metal recycling or operating a forklift
Responsibilities
- Assist with unloading materials
- Sort, inspect, and identify different types of metals
- Assess the quality of incoming materials
- Weigh metals and complete the required data entry
- Operate various equipment and machinery, as needed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Perform any other related duties to support site operations
