Requirements

• Physically fit and ability to repetitively lift and carry at least 40 lbs. on a regular basis
• Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Testing and Fit for Work Testing will be required.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred.
• Construction or labor experience is an asset.
• Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean Driver’s Abstract (as per Company policy), is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and move construction materials around the worksite.
• Manually remove large rocks and debris turned up by heavy equipment, ensuring all revealed rocks and debris are clear.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Flagging traffic when necessary.
• Understand, interpret, and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
• Using a rake or shovel, spread gravel and other construction materials for padding or setting structures or other utilities and piping.
• Ensure the worksite is organized and free of clutter, rubble, and garbage.
• Shovel around live utilities to expose them without damaging.
• Operate equipment, such as pneumatic hammers, vibrators, tampers, and packers as required.
• Other construction and general labor related duties as required.
