About The Position

Primoris Canada is an infrastructure contractor serving major firms in the oil, gas, power, petrochemical, and heavy oil industries. Their services include tailings and hydro-transport pipeline construction and maintenance, storage tank construction and maintenance, industrial facilities multi-discipline construction and maintenance, piping fabrication, and pipeline integrity services. The Leadhand is responsible for relaying clear work directions to their assigned crew as communicated by the Foreman.

Requirements

• Must be an Alberta ticketed journeyman (or hold a journeyman certificate recognized by AIT).
• CSTS-09 and/or CSO.
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs.
• Able to work well in a team environment.
• Organized and self-motivated.
• Pre-employment alcohol and drug testing is a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Relay clear work directions to assigned crew as communicated by the Foreman.
• Ensure all work performed by the crew complies with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards.
• Provide crew direction as communicated by the Foreman.
• Facilitate the creation of Safe Work Permits prior to the commencement of a task.
• Promote a work environment in compliance with site quality standards and procedures.
• Identify and communicate requirements for specific materials/tools.
• Ensure the timely and accurate submission of timesheets.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
