About The Position

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer to assist with material handling, assembling and dismantling equipment, preparing work areas, and cleaning machines and workspaces. The role also involves supporting other crafts by preparing and supplying materials and tools, and performing general construction-site cleanup. Duties may change without notice and may include other responsibilities as assigned.

Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling more than 50 pounds must be done with assistance from another team member or equipment. Visa sponsorship is not offered; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to work with power and non-powered hand tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, jackhammers, forklifts, skid loaders, and power buggies.
• Strong teamwork orientation, positive attitude, professional customer service skills, attention to detail, active listening skills, effective communication, and openness to diverse input and feedback.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and leg movements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Prepare, handle, and supply materials and tools for use by other crafts.
• Clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend motor and grout, including lifting, unloading, moving, setting, and shoveling between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• Perform general cleanup and clear debris, including sweeping, cleaning, washing, and loading or burning debris.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Build effective working relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
