The City of Fishers Department of Public Works is seeking a full-time Street Laborer with a focus on concrete infrastructure. Candidates with experience in concrete construction, including sidewalks, curbs, curb ramps, and pavement repairs, are encouraged to apply. While concrete experience is preferred, the city provides training for the right candidate. As a member of the Street Maintenance Division, you will be part of a team responsible for maintaining more than 1,700 lane miles of roadway, hundreds of acres of right-of-way, and supporting snow and ice operations throughout the City of Fishers and HSE school parking lots. In addition to maintaining critical transportation infrastructure, Street Maintenance supports approximately 100 community events each year and utilizes innovative maintenance techniques and modern equipment to deliver exceptional service to residents. Fishers Department of Public Works is the only municipal public works department in Indiana accredited by the American Public Works Association (APWA), demonstrating a commitment to nationally recognized best management practices, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The City of Fishers provides extensive on-the-job training, paid CDL training, opportunities for professional development, and a modern fleet of equipment.
