About The Position
Bartlett Cocke General Contractors in the College Station, TX area are currently seeking Laborers to join our team! This role involves performing a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects, working on roofs, multi-level structures, scaffolds, and/or ladders. The position requires maintaining a clean jobsite, performing material handling and storage, and ensuring all work is performed in a safe manner, adhering to proper safety and incident reporting procedures. The Laborer will report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager and perform manual work in preparing surfaces.
Requirements
- Must be physically fit.
- Must pass pre-hire screenings.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- May be required to travel between, to and from jobsites.
- Will be required to wear PPE to include hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest, gloves, and work boots.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on construction projects.
- Works on roofs, multi-level structures, scaffolds and/or ladders.
- Maintains a clean jobsite, picks up all tools and equipment and secures tools on job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Performs material handling and storage.
- Loads and unloads material from trucks, manually hauls and/or hoists materials.
- Ensure that work is performed in a safe manner.
- Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Reports problems to the attention of the Foreman, Superintendent, or Safety Manager.
- Performs manual work in preparing surfaces.
