About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of office buildings, rental units, and other housing authority facilities. The Laborer will prepare vacant rental units for occupancy within specified timeframes and perform various cleaning and minor repair tasks to ensure a safe and presentable environment.

Requirements

Ability to keep premises of office buildings, rental units, and other housing authority facilities in clean and orderly condition.
Ability to clean vacant rental units and ready units for occupancy within given time constraints.
Ability to clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble counter tops, and trim.
Ability to clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
Ability to sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors.
Ability to clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Ability to dust furniture and equipment and polish metalwork.
Ability to wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, and wash windows, door panels, and sills.
Ability to empty wastebaskets, and empty and clean ashtrays.
Ability to transport trash and waste to disposal area.
Ability to replenish bathroom supplies.
Ability to replace light bulbs.
Ability to repair fences, gates, walls, and walks.
Ability to paint fences and outbuildings.
Ability to clean grounds and remove litter.
Ability to transport small equipment or tools between departments and/or work sites.

Responsibilities

Keeps premises of office buildings, rental units, and other housing authority facilities in clean and orderly condition.
Responsible for cleaning vacant rental units and readying units for occupancy within given time constraints.
Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble counter tops, and trim.
Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floor.
Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork.
Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
Empties wastebaskets, and empties and cleans ashtrays.
Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
Replaces light bulbs.
Repairs fences, gates, walls, and walks.
Paints fences and outbuildings.
Cleans grounds and removes litter.
Transports small equipment or tools between departments and/or work sites.
Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
