Laborer (Dona)
About The Position
The Laborer will perform manual labor tasks using common hand tools and simple power equipment. This role provides baggage support at the Fort Bliss Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) in support of mobilizing and deploying units/individuals. Responsibilities include loading and unloading trucks, moving supplies, stacking materials, collecting refuse, moving furniture and equipment, spreading sand and salt, and picking up leaves and trash. The position also requires providing labor detail when needed and strict compliance with OSHA regulations and QC/Safety Programs guidance, as well as Performance Work Statement requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Ability to follow oral or written instructions in English.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a National Criminal Background Check.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience working with/for the US Military, a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provides baggage support at the Fort Bliss Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) in support of mobilizing and deploying units/individuals.
- Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances, moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck.
- Stacks materials for storage or binning.
- Collects refuse and salvageable materials.
- Moves and arranges office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances and machinery.
- Spreads sand and salt on icy walkways.
- Picks up leaves and trash.
- Provide Labor detail when needed.
- Must comply with all OSHA regulatory requirements.
- Will support and enforce the QC/Safety’s Programs guidance.
- Understand and comply with all Performance Work Statement requirements.
