About The Position

The temporary Roustabout/Laborer performs day-to-day manual labor and maintenance on equipment and facilities for the Operations & Maintenance Integrity group. This is a temporary, remote position, working a rotational schedule, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The expected duration of the position is less than four (4) months. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Requirements

Must be a self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to complete a task hazard awareness assessment and administer mitigation to identified hazards.
Ability to identify and safely operate standard construction and maintenance hand and power tools.
Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.
Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.
Sound knowledge of operations and safety policies and procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.
North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.

Graduate of a certified Alaska secondary trade school.

Responsibilities

Attend various technical, developmental and safety training.
Performs manual labor including stick picking, supporting scaffolding activity such as cleanup, hauling, stacking materials, shoveling, stacking pipe skids, moving supports, handling steel material and valves.
Tend pumps, compressors, generators to provide power for tools, machinery, and equipment, or to heat and move materials, lubricate machinery, equipment, and parts.
Clean and prepare shops to eliminate possible hazards.
Clean tools, equipment, machinery, and work areas.
Provide assistance as directed for other work crew members.
