Licenses as required by Local, State, Federal, Environmental and/or Health/Safety Regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

Manually picks up windblown paper from the periphery of the landfill, carrying a large plastic trash bag and walking along the fenced border and exterior land adjacent to public property. Pulls paper from the fence and lifts loose paper from the ground, depositing refuse in the bag until full.
Uses a mobile vacuum to gather loose paper and refuse. Drives a tractor pulling a vacuum along the fenced border and exterior land adjacent to public property. Parks, descends the tractor, grasps the vacuum hose handle, and guides it to vacuum loose paper from the fence and ground. Repeats these steps as necessary, working around the outer edge of the landfill.
During summer months with heavy traffic, stationed at the landfill entrance to direct traffic flow of trucks, communicating verbally or by hand signals.
Lifts construction materials for site maintenance, such as lumber, bags of concrete mix, and hand tools. Uses hand tools like shovels, picks, axes, and chain saws.
Manually separates metal, white goods, lumber, and cardboard from trash on the tipping floor at landfills with a transfer station.
