Under close supervision, a skilled laborer performs traffic control duties, concrete preparation, and guardrail installation duties including all safety regulations and procedures. Work is performed outdoors at construction sites, maintenance facilities and outside environments with exposure to inclement weather. Moderate physical demands; strength sufficient to lift and move items weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
Requirements
- Knowledge and practical application to operate mini excavators, skid steers, front end loaders and familiar with some aspects of heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of techniques of traffic control.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations, and safety standards in hazardous traffic environments.
- Knowledge of Federal and state safety laws and regulations.
- Ability to operate and maintain small construction equipment as well as miscellaneous hand held tools according to standard operating and safety procedures.
- Ability to follow safe work practices.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
