About The Position

Baldwin Paving Company, Inc. is currently hiring Laborers – Roadwork Paving to join our team. This is a full-time position within our Roadwork Paving division, where you will support crews in building and maintaining roadways and asphalt surfaces. Perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor on road construction and paving projects. You will assist paving crews, operate basic tools, and help prepare and maintain job sites.

Requirements

• Any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work.
• Willingness and ability to perform manual work and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Report to the assigned job site in proper attire and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
• Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
• Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA and company policy.
• Coveralls, Fall Protection, Gloves, Welding Gloves, Hard Hat, Hearing Protection, Padlocks for Lockout/Tagout, Respiratory Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Welding Aprons, Welding Helmet, Welding Shield.

Responsibilities

• Performing general physical labor on roadwork paving crews.
• Assisting with asphalt paving, spreading, shoveling, and raking materials.
• Preparing job sites by cleaning, grading, and removing debris.
• Supporting the setup and breakdown of paving operations.
• Operating basic hand and power tools under supervision.
• Loading and unloading tools, materials, and equipment.
• Assisting equipment operators, truck drivers, and skilled crew members.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Following instructions from Foreman and adhering to all safety practices.
