About The Position

The Asphalt Paving General Laborer is responsible for supporting the Skilled Laborers and Equipment Operators on construction projects and may operate a variety of hand and power tools, air hammers, and measuring equipment. Construction Laborers will help prepare and clean up job sites and perform other duties as directed by the Foreman or Superintendent. THIS IS A TRAVELING POSITION!

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Complete and pass pre-employment testing, including a drug screen and physical

Responsibilities

• Material handling and signaling trucks dumping construction materials
• Operating portable platform scale that weighs material for paving operations
• Operate various hand and power tools
• Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices
• Lift, carry, and hold materials, tools, and supplies
• Perform the tying of rebar and basket placement
• Assist with setting of stringline and concrete forms
• Perform traffic flagging duties
• Operating pickup trucks and parts procurement
• Operating hot mastic kettle
• Other duties as assigned
