About The Position

Responsible for providing support to the RMC Area Manager, Dispatch/Batchman and Mechanics at the site location by performing a variety of duties, including limited maintenance, and clean up.

Requirements

Candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent.
Candidate must be drug free.
Position requires moderately strenuous physical work.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds from floor to 3’ – 5’ occasionally,
Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds frequently,
Must be able to climb in and out of equipment 50+ times per day,
Must be able to climb up and down ladders occasionally,
Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time,
Must be able to use hands, fingers, and feet to operate and/or service heavy construction machinery and concrete mixers and haul trucks,
Must be able to travel safely while walking and while operating heavy machinery and/or trucks over uneven terrain, roads, and pavement,
Must be able to see, hear, and respond to verbal, visual, and written instructions and to moving heavy construction machinery,
Must be able to wear proper protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, high visibility clothing, steel-toed boots, and gloves,
Must be able to observe all company Safety policies on company premises and while operating heavy construction machinery,
Must be able to continually work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions,
Must be able to work safely in wet, muddy, and slippery conditions occasionally.

Exhibit a strong work ethic with the ability to take direction and work in a team setting and independently.
Adhere to Permian Basin Materials Code of Conduct and company policies.
Ensure that the concrete plant and related equipment is operating properly at all times; inspect plant for greasing and check oil fluid levels; grease & oil as required; keep plant and equipment clean and free of excess material; ensure all material handling equipment is working.
Ensure the breakroom is neat and clean.
Keep equipment and plant site neat and clean at all times; wash the outside of the plant and equipment whenever necessary; maintain plant grounds; pick up trash, etc. from grounds; make sure all equipment is in its proper place.
Assist the Batchman in batching and other duties when necessary.
Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies and procedures.
Perform any miscellaneous duties requested by the plant manager, which may include, but is not limited to, cleaning up around the plant, picking up equipment or supplies, transporting company mail, training another employee, and filling in for an absent employee.
Treat customers and inspectors courteously at ALL times.
Properly follow company, OSHA, and MSHA safety procedures and promote the company safety program.
Wear protective clothing and equipment as necessary to include hearing protection, dust masks, safety glasses, boots, harnesses and other clothing as required.
Perform other functions and duties as required or directed.
