A General Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties. Responsibilities may include such things as yard clean-up. Requirements

  • Must be clean shaven
  • Comfortable working weekend shifts. (mainly Saturday, with 2 - 3 Sunday events each season)
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Physically load and unload containerized waste from straight trucks and van trailer
  • Prep and load customer supplies on straight trucks and van trailer
  • Gain a full understanding and working knowledge of the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure they are followed.
  • Ensure superior customer service is provided.
  • General shop clean-up and maintenance.
  • Perform labour tasks as required.
  • Notify the Shift Supervisor/General Manager of any defects, damages, mistakes, errors, contamination, spills, other incidents or accidents that are identified.
  • Maintain yard cleanliness, snow and ice removal, and sweeping.
  • Maintain yard organization and security.
  • Attend Household Hazardous Waste collection events to identify, classify and separate waste.
  • Load containerized waste for transport back to Stevenage facility.
  • Other tasks as required.
