About The Position

GFT Ready Mix is a rapidly growing, family-run business founded in 1999, built on a team-oriented culture and supportive atmosphere. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Laborer/Operator to join our team. This role combines general labor duties with equipment operation to support daily plant operations, production, and maintenance. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust)
• Willingness to perform physically demanding labor (lifting, climbing, standing)
• Strong work ethic and dependability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Prior operator experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude or equipment operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Keep plant areas clean and organized, including washout and yard duties
• Load and unload materials as needed
• Assist with daily plant operations as needed
• Operate loader safely and efficiently
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic troubleshooting of equipment
• Support plant production goals while maintaining quality standards
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with plant personnel and drivers
