The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks applicants for the position of Laborer II. This role involves performing various manual labor tasks to assist in the work of skilled tradesmen and craftsmen. Duties include working with drainage, sewer, and water pipelines, digging trenches, repairing pavement, installing and maintaining signs, planting and maintaining trees, flowers, and shrubs, loading and unloading trucks, and operating handheld power tools and motor vehicles. The position is seasonal, with a start date of 'asap' and an end date of 10/17/26. Work hours are 40 hours per week, with Mondays and Tuesdays off. The salary is determined by factors such as experience, seniority, agency budget, and the nature of the role. If the position is for less than 90 days, it will revert to a short-term seasonal position with a salary rate to be discussed during the interview.
