About The Position

The Department of Conservation and Recreation seeks applicants for the position of Laborer I. Seasonal Laborers perform and assist with a variety of duties in connection with conservation and maintenance work including, but not limited to, grounds and facility maintenance work including cutting grass, raking leaves, watering, painting, rubbish removal, beautification of parks, campgrounds, and reservations, beaches and facilities.

Possess a current and valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License (may be required based on assignment).

Responsibilities

Perform and assist with a variety of duties in connection with conservation and maintenance work including grounds and facility maintenance work.
Cut grass, rake leaves, water, paint, and remove rubbish.
Beautify parks, campgrounds, reservations, beaches, and facilities.
Use a variety of hand tools.
Operate motor vehicles and light trucks including loading and unloading of supplies, equipment, etc.
Greet and assist park visitors and provide information about the facility.
Collect fees (based on assignment).
Perform other related duties as required.
