About The Position

Under general supervision, the Laborer will assist in the performance of semi-skilled tasks in maintenance and repairs. The Laborer will perform general tasks within facilities and other work necessary as required to meet company needs. This role involves assisting Maintenance Technicians in developing methods and procedures to control or improve Facilities processes and providing assistance to all departments, including furniture relocations and installations, and office modifications. The Laborer will also be responsible for setting up and operating tools and equipment, performing routine cleaning of work areas, shop area clean-up, and forklift operation. Additionally, the role requires the ability to work independently or as an active member of a team, and to clean/clear debris and hazardous materials.

Requirements

  • Proven knowledge of safe operation of powered and non-powered hand tools.
  • Able to work independently or as an active member of a team.
  • Ability to physically stand, bend, squat for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to work in various environments (hot/cold/outdoors).
  • Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Interact well with others and be a positive influence on employee morale.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain Nevada Drivers License.
  • Ability to obtain OSHA 10.
  • Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • Prolonged sitting/standing.
  • Bending and reaching.
  • Transporting, pushing, pulling, lifting, and maneuvering items weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (SDS) and other instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift/scissor lift/boom lift operator training.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar resort setting.

Responsibilities

  • Exceptional service and recovery ability working with internal and external guests.
  • Maintain a follow-up system that encourages follow through with assigned projects.
  • Participate in performance management.
  • Performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance and repairs of facilities.
  • Perform any other related job duties as assigned.
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assists Maintenance Technicians in developing methods and procedures to control or improve Facilities processes.
  • Provides assistance to all departments including but not limited to: Furniture relocations and installation, office modifications, etc.
  • Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
  • Perform routine cleaning of work areas.
  • Shop area clean-up and supply.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Clean/clear debris and hazardous materials.
