About The Position

As a Laborer, you will perform a wide variety of duties and tasks on the construction site, often assisting other tradespeople, including carpenters. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Requirements

Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
Detail-oriented, well-organized, and ability to multi-task.
Task-oriented, reliable, and committed to meeting deadlines.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexible availability, including some overtime, weekends, and night shifts.

Nice To Haves

Relevant experience in commercial construction.
OSHA 10.
Operator's certificate.

Responsibilities

Perform any combination of tasks to assist on the construction site.
Load, unload, and move materials from within or near the construction site from pallets, skids, trucks, or other locations.
Move materials to or from storage or work sites.
Drive equipment as needed.
Perform selective demolition, concrete placement, or flagging.
Stack and assemble materials into bundles.
Make simple repairs and adjustments to machinery or trucks.
Work independently and with little direction.
Have initiative to find work activities when waiting for next task directive.
Assist Carpenters with general partition layout, framing, sheet rock installation, and other rough and finish carpentry work as assigned.
Build temporary protection including barricades, visqueen, floor protection, etc.
Perform general clean-up including vacuuming, sweeping, and rubbish removal.
Perform selective demolition of non-load bearing walls, ceilings, and flooring material and clean-up of all demolition debris.
Perform other duties as assigned.
