Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical science, Physical science, Biological/clinical laboratory science, or Medical technology (or related field) from an accredited institution
- Must meet state-specific requirements where required: California: Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CDPH), Georgia: Certification via ASCP, AMT, NCA, or AAB
- No prior transplant testing experience required
- Knowledge of medical technology principles, methods, and techniques
- Knowledge of chemistry, biology, and bacteriology fundamentals
- Knowledge of recent developments in medical technology
- Ability to perform tasks according to procedures
- Ability to make accurate observations and maintain records
- Skilled in using laboratory equipment
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Customer-focused mindset
- Must follow all safety and exposure procedures
- Required to use provided personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must handle hazardous materials safely
- Refer to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemical hazards
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests following prescribed procedures across specialties
- Calculate and accurately record test results
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and perform checks on laboratory equipment
- Troubleshoot basic analyzer malfunctions and notify management when needed
- Prepare reagents and media per established procedures
- Evaluate reagents, media, and calibrators using defined criteria
- Conduct quality control (QC) on tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products
- Review QC results and implement corrective actions when required
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with quality systems
- Support company values, ethics, and leadership principles
- Ensure adherence to quality management system expectations
