Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical science, Physical science, Biological/clinical laboratory science, or Medical technology (or related field) from an accredited institution
  • Must meet state-specific requirements where required: California: Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CDPH), Georgia: Certification via ASCP, AMT, NCA, or AAB
  • No prior transplant testing experience required
  • Knowledge of medical technology principles, methods, and techniques
  • Knowledge of chemistry, biology, and bacteriology fundamentals
  • Knowledge of recent developments in medical technology
  • Ability to perform tasks according to procedures
  • Ability to make accurate observations and maintain records
  • Skilled in using laboratory equipment
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Must follow all safety and exposure procedures
  • Required to use provided personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must handle hazardous materials safely
  • Refer to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for chemical hazards

Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests following prescribed procedures across specialties
  • Calculate and accurately record test results
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and perform checks on laboratory equipment
  • Troubleshoot basic analyzer malfunctions and notify management when needed
  • Prepare reagents and media per established procedures
  • Evaluate reagents, media, and calibrators using defined criteria
  • Conduct quality control (QC) on tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products
  • Review QC results and implement corrective actions when required
  • Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with quality systems
  • Support company values, ethics, and leadership principles
  • Ensure adherence to quality management system expectations
