Laboratory Technician

About The Position

The Laboratory Technician will perform measurements and laboratory tests for purchased parts, semi-finished parts, and finished parts according to the control plan. This role will also handle PPAP parts, support R&D, conduct product audits, and assist in problem investigations. A key responsibility includes managing the calibration system for production and quality measuring and testing devices. The technician will measure components according to customer specifications and relevant standards, support the proper use of SPC in production, and assist with MSA if required. They will also report non-conforming products immediately and advise on proper measurement methods, equipment, and identification of characteristics on drawings. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

A minimum of 2 years professional experience
Ability to interpret drawings and requirements for ensuring the adherence to agreed Quality parameters
Expertise in performing tests referring to the laboratory scope
Expertise in the calibration of test equipment
Knowledge in statistical methods

Responsibilities

Perform measurements and laboratory tests for purchased parts, semi-finished parts, and finished parts according to the control plan.
Perform measurements for PPAP parts.
Support R&D activities.
Conduct product audits.
Support problem investigation.
Manage the calibration system of production & quality measuring and testing devices.
Measure components according to customer specification and relevant standards.
Support the proper use of SPC in production according to the control plan.
Support MSA if required.
Report non-conforming product immediately to the requestor for further disposition.
Advise on proper measurement methods, equipment, and identification of characteristics on drawings to support measurements.
