About The Position

Pharmetric Laboratory is seeking Full Time sterile Technicians. We are a growing testing laboratory with immediate openings for sterile lab technicians for our 5 PM to 1 AM shift. We offer 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week. The need is immediate. If you have a background in microbiology, pharmacy, or sterile laboratory work, you are ideal for this position. Sterile technique is an absolute must, and prior work using sterile technique is required. Responsibilities include confidentiality, participation in training, ability to keep accurate records, and understanding of good laboratory practices. Understanding of aseptic environment and aseptic technique is an absolute must for this position. You must be able to maintain facilities in an extremely clean status. We are looking for team players who are responsible, accountable, and trustworthy.

Requirements

  • Basic computer knowledge (windows, email, Microsoft office).
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment and maintenance.
  • Ability to work with a team.

  • Understanding of aseptic environment and aseptic technique is an absolute must.
  • Must be able to maintain facilities in an extremely clean status.
  • Knowledge of USP would be very valuable.
  • Background in microbiology, pharmacy, sterile laboratory work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sanitation and maintenance of the cleanroom area.
  • Work would be in a laboratory testing the sterility of pharmaceutical preparations.
  • Participate in Staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all microbiological testing of pharmaceutical products.
  • Knowledge of all policies and procedures pertinent to job duties.
  • Perform all testing using proper aseptic technique and following laboratory procedures.
  • Properly handle and dispose of hazardous and biohazardous waste.
  • Correctly complete and provide on time all required documentation (i.e. logs, records, etc.).
  • Assist with inventory management and maintain stock levels of appropriate products.
  • Properly use, clean, and maintain all equipment per manufacturer and laboratory guidelines.
  • Receiving samples, enter client information and samples in LIMS, print appropriate labels and properly transfer samples into the controlled areas.
  • Disinfecting samples prior testing- we use isolators by Ecolab.
  • Preparing and sterilization of required materials.
  • Assist with validation documentation and records as needed.
  • Check for outdated supplies and take appropriate action per policy/procedure.
  • Maintains the client’s confidentiality and rights.
  • Participate in training as required.
  • Must keep accurate records and experience with Good Laboratory Practices.
  • Understand the aseptic environment and the importance of aseptic technique.
  • Clean controlled areas according to standards.
  • Maintain facilities in an extremely clean status.
  • Comfortable working in aseptic environment for extended periods of time (hours)- While we use Isolators now so donning sterile bunny suits is not required, but could be in the future.
  • Confidentiality in all matters at the laboratory.
  • Participation in training.
  • Ability to keep accurate records.
  • Understanding of good laboratory practices.
