About The Position
This is a Microbiology position. The Laboratory Technician independently performs and monitors laboratory testing of patient specimens in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements. The role recognizes technical and instrument problems and initiates resolutions, and is responsible for testing accuracy, quality control, and required instrument maintenance. The technician may also train laboratory and/or other health care personnel as directed. Must be able to travel among company sites.
Requirements
- Must be able to travel among company sites.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s Degree preferred.
- Medical Laboratory Assistant Certification preferred.
- Six months of healthcare experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently perform and monitor laboratory testing of patient specimens according to established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Recognize technical and instrumental problems and initiate resolutions.
- Assume responsibility for accuracy, quality control, and required instrument maintenance.
- May provide training to laboratory and/or other health care personnel as directed.
