About The Position

We are currently accepting applications for a Laboratory Technician to be based at our office in White River Junction, Vermont. As a Laboratory Technician you will work in the lab and in the field performing construction materials testing on samples of soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and other materials associated with a variety of construction projects, and reporting the results. You’ll also help maintain and organize the laboratory, visit field projects, and pick up samples from clients and project sites. You will typically work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work opportunities based on project needs. Requirements

  • Prior experience with construction materials testing.
  • Valid certifications and licenses related to construction materials testing required, such as ACI Concrete Testing Grade I, NETTCP, and/or ICC General Requirements and Special inspections.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to write or type observations and test results.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
  • Safely conduct yourself and the equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction materials testing on samples of soil, concrete, masonry, asphalt, aggregate and other materials.
  • Report test results.
  • Maintain and organize the laboratory.
  • Visit field projects.
  • Pick up samples from clients and project sites.
  • Drive to pick up samples at a job site or perform materials testing in the field on an occasional and as-needed basis.
