About The Position

As a Quality Control Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for validating finished goods of all phases of the operation, including rework samples and non-conforming material. You are responsible for specification testing that is reported to the customer which is critical for accurate performance. You will work onsite in the Richmond, Virginia Plant, reporting to the QC/QA Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Good Computer Skills
• Minimum of 3 to 6 months Lab testing experience
• Good mathematics skills
• Ability to understand record and verbalize detailed information accurately
• Ability to lift 25 pounds

Nice To Haves

• College level chemistry is a plus
• Bi-Lingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Testing of finished good samples (Viscosity, Density, Solids, Dry Time, etc.)
• Calibration and troubleshooting of Analyzers
• Updating information into our lab sample tracking system
• Capable of testing samples in multiple QC Labs (Main Lab and PLC Lab)
• Expedited flow of Batch Tickets between departments
• Training of Plant personnel to ensure we have backups when needed
• Will lead and work on independent quality projects as needed
• Maintain 5S and good housekeeping standards
• All work is completed via Standard Operating Procedures which must be followed.
