About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Petroleum Laboratory Technician to join their Caleb Brett team in Corpus Christi, TX. This role supports analytical testing for Intertek and its clients, maintaining associated records to ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective service. Intertek Caleb Brett specializes in cargo inspection and analytical assessment for the oil and gas and chemical markets, with a global network and a commitment to Total Quality Assurance.

  • Must demonstrate ability to utilize non-complex and complex instrumentation.
  • Must be able to work overtime as business needs dictate.

  • GC Experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Performs numerous chemical and physical tests based on American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) methods or accepted industry standards in multiple test areas.
  • Assists with equipment calibration, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Cleans glassware and test equipment.
  • Assists with preparing reagents as needed.
  • Records data on appropriate data sheets and reports data to LIMS system.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality records, control charts, and lab supply inventories.
  • Responsible for complying with safety, quality, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Participates in cross training as needed.
