Requirements
- Technical degree in laboratory science & technology (MSc, BSc or Graduate degree) or relevant experience working in a laboratory.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience or similar through experience.
- Prior experience in both tissue processing/sectioning and (immuno) histochemical staining required.
- Professional and positive attitude, take initiative and act accountable.
- Thorough process knowledge.
- Facilitate process improvement and implementation.
- Communicative.
Responsibilities
- Perform activities as ordered by departmental supervisors, including tissue processing, sectioning, (immuno)histochemical staining, and in situ hybridization.
- Ensure sample material is correctly handled and stored in the correct location.
- Operate equipment correctly to obtain the correct analysis, working meticulously and paying attention to detail.
- Provide input on reagent stock status and equipment functioning to the lab supervisor/manager.
- Report results, errors, and observations as required.
- Utilize LIMS, DMS, and QMS systems as appropriate.
- Ensure the working environment is clean and organized.
