The Department of Otolaryngology - Head/Neck Surgery is seeking a highly motivated applicant for a Laboratory Technician II position. This role involves conducting preclinical studies evaluating novel therapeutic interventions for olfactory loss using murine models of chronic sinusitis, in compliance with IACUC protocols. The technician will perform flow cytometric analysis of murine and human airway tissues, including experimental design, sample preparation, data acquisition, and interpretation. Additionally, they will execute ELISA and cytometric bead array assays for biomarker quantification in clinical trial specimens, manage laboratory inventory (ordering and maintaining supplies and reagents), and collect and process human tissue samples from operating rooms. Processing includes cataloging, establishing primary cell cultures, and preparing specimens for downstream applications.
