Balazs Nanoanalysis operates analytical labs worldwide, serving both internal and external clients. We support clients across various sectors, including semiconductor, biotechnology, aerospace/defense, solar, energy storage, and automotive. Our highly skilled chemists assist scientists and engineers in these fields with quality assurance, contamination studies, R&D, and failure analysis. Air Liquide is seeking a Laboratory Technician I for our Austin, TX or Taylor, TX location. For internal candidates, the specific level and salary for this position will be determined by the successful candidate's current level. Our Laboratory Technicians are tasked with daily sample analysis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab techniques, GC-MS, and particle counters. The role operates within an exciting, fast-paced, and dynamic environment, as part of a safety-focused team dedicated to delivering high-quality data to customers promptly. Beyond sample analysis, the responsibilities include sample login and tracking, material and kit management, proper hazardous waste disposal, data review, and customer reporting.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma and 5 years of Lab Experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 3 years of Experience OR Bachelor Degree in Chemistry or Similar and 0 years of Experiences
  • Able to adapt to teamwork environment
  • Good computer skill
  • Work safely at all times and ensure a safety culture

Responsibilities

  • Running samples on a daily basis using ICP-MS, classical wet lab analyses, GC-MS, and particle counters.
  • Sample login and tracking.
  • Material and kit handling.
  • Proper disposal of hazardous waste.
  • Reviewing data, and reporting results to the customer.
  • Supporting the lab team through labware washing.
  • Transporting samples between labs.
  • Entering test results into data management systems timely and accurately.
  • Filling bottle kits.
  • Following SOP's.
  • Lab cleaning and organization.
  • Sample preparation.
  • Sample login and management using LIMS.
  • Analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay.
  • Routine Waste disposal.
  • Preparation of high quality standards for instrument calibration.
  • Standardization of titrants.
  • Calibration of analytical instruments.
  • Commitment to the safe handling of chemicals.
  • Collaborating to put together results, review data quality, and report results to customers.
  • Submit quality and safety near misses.
  • Stay up to date on all lab trainings.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety and quality.
  • Attend all Safety Meetings.
  • Analyze and gain insights from analytical data.
