About The Position

The laboratory Technician position performs daily lab operations through the preparation, sterilization, and organization of lab materials and equipment. Plans and organizes daily workload independently and in coordination with team members to meet production goals efficiently. Prepares materials for sterilization and cleans reusable laboratory materials, including glassware, glass tubes, and Morton caps, to prepare for media and lab use. Maintains overall lab cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing equipment and surfaces in compliance with safety and hygiene standards. Prepares and sets up various lab supplies and tools to support daily procedures and technician workflows. Reads, interprets, and accurately records test results, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards. Adheres strictly to laboratory quality control protocols, company policies, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a compliant and safe work environment. Responsible for the aseptic preparation and filling of microbiological culture media in a semi-cleanroom environment, ensuring sterility and product quality. Duties include operating filling equipment, maintaining sterile conditions, managing inventory of sterilized materials, and inspecting finished products post-sterility hold for contamination. Requirements

  • Associate degree or 1+ years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a laboratory operation or technical/scientific field, and basic computer competency is required.
  • Requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, well-focused, sense of urgency, good work ethic, and ability to function as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Some knowledge of aseptic laboratory techniques, and microscope familiarity is preferred
