About The Position

The Laboratory Technician I performs hands-on laboratory work testing insulating liquids to help maintain the reliability of electrical systems. The role involves running chemical tests, accurately recording results and entering data, and following safety procedures. The technician works collaboratively with a supportive team and takes on other laboratory duties as needed. Training is provided on safety procedures, and motivated learners are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, with chemistry or science coursework.
• Basic computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and data entry.
• Reliability and a team-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of laboratory experience; motivated learners without this experience will be trained.
• Interest in learning tests such as Liquid Screen, Karl Fischer, Power Factor, or FTIR.

Responsibilities

• Run chemical tests on insulating liquids.
• Record test results and enter data accurately.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the laboratory team.
• Perform other laboratory duties as needed.
