Laboratory Technician I
About The Position
This position involves performing laboratory procedures and research experiments, including collecting, preparing, processing, and organizing biological samples. The role will generate data for grant submission under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI) or lab manager. Specific duties include performing experiments supporting an R01 grant on the regulation of ILC3s, preparing figures, and contributing to grant writing. The position also entails performing other PI-directed collaborative research, assisting with the supervision of rotation students, technicians, and junior trainees, and overseeing the flow cytometer and managing the research mouse colony.
Requirements
- Associates degree in an appropriate area; or a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience.
- Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in genome-wide approaches, especially single cell RNA-seq analysis.
