We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Laboratory Technician - Extraction Focused to join our dynamic team. This role involves assisting the manufacturing team in the production of cannabis-based medicines and reports directly to the Laboratory Manager. The ideal candidate will be driven, innovative, compassionate, and embrace a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

Must be 21 years or older
3+ years of experience in chemical processing and equipment use.
Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
Able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds or more.
Attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree Preferred
Previous experience in medical cannabis industry.

Responsibilities

Perform stripping, grinding, decarboxylation of cannabis materials.
Perform CO2 extraction of cannabis materials.
Perform de-waxing and concentrations of cannabis extracts.
Perform dry sift and solventless extraction processes.
Keep organized record of all procedures and results.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Able to work independently as well as operating as a team.
Keeps a detailed laboratory log, dating and recording all tasks performed and relevant results.
Performs weekly safety-checks of fire-extinguishing equipment, eyewash stations and shower stations.
Attends safety meetings as required.
Perform other functions as necessary to provide an adequate supply of product to meet patient demand.
Able to setup, maintain and repair equipment.
Keep an inventory of production materials to ensure supply chain stability.
Provide feedback to improve process quality and efficiency.
Perform other tasks as requested.
