We are in search of an Extraction Lab Technician to add to our growing team. As an Extraction Lab Tech, you will be responsible for assisting the Extraction Lab Manager with all volatile processes for our newest production line. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a high level of critical thinking, and is highly motivated and self-directed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior manufacturing or product development lab experience preferred
  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in data entry, working with spreadsheets, and mathematical calculations
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standard operating procedures, checklists, and protocols.
  • Familiarity with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals

Responsibilities

  • Prepare laboratory equipment and cannabis plant materials for extraction
  • Operate and maintain extraction equipment with proper SOPs and checklists; routinely update safety and maintenance logs
  • Immediately report conformance issues with products, equipment, and processes to manager
  • Deliver on production goals, while focused on safety, product quality, and scheduling demands
  • Produce product per recipes and SOPs, maintaining high quality standards
  • Receive and inventory supplies required for processing, including dry goods, frozen plant material, and volatile gasses
  • Track inputs and outputs to optimize processes and increase yields
  • Support Lab Packaging department efforts as needed to meet business needs
  • Partner with the Edibles Kitchen to develop oils as required for department specific processes
  • Partner with the Solventless department to meet timelines and business goals as required
  • Complying with all documented security procedures and safeguarding inventory against diversion.
  • Ability to develop new products with research and support from Department Manager; participate in new product launches to support retail and patient education
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation on equipment, work surfaces, and laboratory spaces; follow all waste and hazmat protocols
  • Comfort working with and around volatile gasses; continued training, handling skills, and hazmat gas responsibilities will be provided
