Superior Completions is currently seeking a Laboratory Technician 2 for our office in Houston, TX.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • A minimum of three (3) to Eight (8) years in testing prototype downhole completion tools and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current practices and technology used in the oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge, competency and experience in related field
  • Knowledge relating to completion services procedures and processes
  • Current practices, equipment, materials, and supplies used in the completion tools business
  • Ethical business practices
  • Good verbal and written communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
  • Building and maintaining positive customer relationships, internal or external
  • Operating various office equipment: personal computer, copy machine, fax machine and telephone system
  • Identifying problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Determining necessary resources, time and materials of a project
  • Planning and tracking project timelines

Nice To Haves

  • Packer experience a plus.
  • High Pressure pipe fitting experience helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Attend all safety meetings and participate in writing of Job Safety Analysis’.
  • Assembly of prototype equipment as directed by engineers and engineering drawings.
  • Conduct high pressure hydrostatic and nitrogen testing.
  • Initiate and maintain Data Acquisition test information on the P.C.
  • Interface with Design Engineering and Supervisor Test Lab to plan and organize tests and projects.
  • Familiar with core product line.
  • Maintain a neat work area.
  • Maintain maintenance schedules on cranes and other equipment.
  • Occasionally work night shift.
