About The Position
Sentara Health is hiring a laboratory support technician to work full time, day shifts in the Anatomic Pathology Lab at Sentara RMH Medical Center. The duties of a laboratory support technician (LST) include preparing specimens per discipline operating procedure for result/interpretation by technical staff, and performing instrument maintenance and inventory functions per operating procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree (required)
- Histology Lab candidates with a Bachelor of Science in general studies with 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) in biology and chemistry will qualify
- No certification or licensure required
Responsibilities
- Prepare specimens per discipline operating procedure for result/interpretation by technical staff
- Perform instrument maintenance and inventory functions per operating procedures
