About The Position

The Laboratory Supply Chain Manager will handle reagent/analyzer contracts, reference lab agreements, blood bank, POCT, and specimen collection. This is a highly specialized role, not a general clinical supply chain position. The role involves analyzing reagent/analyzer contracts for renegotiation leverage and conversion opportunities, evaluating analyzer platform consolidation across 6 CHSLI hospitals, reviewing reference laboratory contracts (send-out testing, esoteric testing, genetics), assessing blood bank utilization, product wastage, and crossmatch ratios, and conducting POCT program reviews for consolidation and vendor standardization. The manager will work closely with Lab Directors, Pathologists, Medical Directors, and Technical Supervisors.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in clinical lab operations, lab supply chain, or lab management
  • 3+ years managing lab supply contracts (reagent/analyzer, reference lab, or blood bank)
  • Understands the reagent/analyzer interdependency model
  • Familiar with CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission as they relate to supply decisions
  • Can speak the language of pathologists and lab directors
