About The Position

Castle Biosciences is hiring a full-time Laboratory Supervisor for its Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania laboratory, with a stated start date of December 1, 2026. The position supports daily clinical laboratory oversight by promoting efficient workflows, coaching staff, and resolving operational issues. It serves as a communication link between laboratory staff and upper management and provides ongoing support to the laboratory team. The supervisor ensures procedures follow established scientific methodologies and specialized analytical techniques and comply with applicable regulatory standards. This is an exempt position scheduled Monday through Friday, 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with flexibility potentially required to meet operational needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a science-related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
• At least 1 year of experience in high-complexity molecular testing (CAP).
• All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor H-1B, OPT, or employment-related visas.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations.
• Promote efficient laboratory workflows and address troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Coach, guide, and provide ongoing support to laboratory staff.
• Serve as a communication link between laboratory staff and upper management.
• Ensure procedures follow established scientific methodologies and specialized analytical techniques.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and quality management system policies and procedures.
• Monitor employee productivity and support performance and operational excellence.
