Laboratory Specimen Processor II (2nd Shift)
About The Position
Sonic Reference Laboratory, Inc. is hiring a full-time, benefits-eligible Laboratory Specimen Processor II in Austin, Texas. The role works the second shift, 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, for 40 scheduled hours per week. The position requires mastery of Laboratory Specimen Processor I duties and involves handling shift exceptions and sample issues, preparing serum and urine aliquots, creating manifests and packaging and shipping send-away specimens, completing the daily end-of-shift checklist, and assisting the shift lead and supervisor with inventory needs. Requirements
- Associate degree, or phlebotomy certification, or medical assistant qualification with a high school diploma.
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
- Typing proficiency, including 10-key.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in a biological science or certification in a medical program technologist program.
- Two or more years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing.
- Data entry experience in a laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
