About The Position

The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes. As a Lab Services Engineer supporting the Dextro Lab, you will play a critical role in ensuring engineering tools are built, configured, and delivered on time to support product development and customer readiness. Your ownership of clear-to-build (CTB) processes, material readiness, and build execution will directly contribute to operational efficiency, successful tool deployments, and seamless transitions to Global Operations and Field Support. By driving cross-functional collaboration and resolving build challenges, you will help accelerate innovation while maintaining the highest standards of quality and delivery performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 5+ years of experience; or Associates degree in a technical field or equivalent military training with 7+ years of relevant experience; or equivalent work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years hands-on experience in: Lab environments; NPI / prototype builds; Semiconductor or equipment systems
  • Experience with BOMs and configuration management; Attention to detail in configurations and documentation
  • Understanding of materials flow and build processes; Material tracking and procurement coordination
  • Build readiness / CTB processes; Ownership and accountability for delivery (OTD)
  • Ability to work across teams

Responsibilities

  • Execute Dextro engineering tool builds in a lab environment, ensuring configuration accuracy and build readiness.
  • Assemble, configure, troubleshoot, and support bring-up activities for complex tool systems.
  • Partner with engineering teams to identify and resolve build, integration, and system issues.
  • Own Clear-to-Build (CTB) readiness by verifying materials, configurations, and documentation.
  • Validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), purchased parts, and physical builds to maintain configuration integrity.
  • Coordinate Engineering Material Requests (ERFs), procurement activities, material staging, and critical component expediting.
  • Maintain accurate build records, documenting configurations, deviations, issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Verify tool readiness and ensure complete documentation for successful handoff to Global Operations and Field Support.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Lab Operations teams to support alignment and On-Time Delivery (OTD) goals.
  • Proactively identify, escalate, and drive resolution of issues affecting schedules, material readiness, or delivery commitments.
