Essentia Health - Fosston: We’re a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. We treat our patients like we’d treat our own family and friends. Our medical providers may even know you because many of them live in town.Get more of the care you need close to home, including 24-hour emergency care. You’ll find us attached to the Essentia Health-Fosston Clinic. We’re also next to the Essentia Health Living Center and Prairie Pines Community. Essentia Health - Ada/Graceville: Ada - We’re a Level IV Trauma Center and 14-bed Critical Access Hospital. We offer rehabilitation services, surgical care, and 24-hour emergency care.You’ll find the Ada hospital in the same building as the Essentia Health-Ada Clinic. Graceville - We’re a Level IV Trauma Center with 24-hour emergency care and a Critical Access Hospital. You’ll find us on 2nd Street along East Toqua Lake, which offers a tranquil setting. Requirements

• MLT: Graduate of an associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technician OR Meets Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines for the complexity of laboratory testing for alternative route.
• MLS: Graduate of a four-year degree in Clinical Laboratory science OR MLT (ASCP) certified with additional semester hours in clinical laboratory equivalents from an accredited school with 2 years of full time lab experience and certified as an MLS (ASCP).
• Histotechnician: Graduate of NAACLS accredited Histotechnician program OR Successful completion of 60 semester hours (90 quarter hours) of academic credit from a regionally accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), AND one year full time acceptable experience in a histopathology (clinical, veterinary, industry or research) laboratory in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory within the last 5 years OR An associate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, with a combination of 12 semester hours (18 quarter hours) of biology and chemistry (must include credit hours in both), AND 1 year full time acceptable experience in a histopathology (clinical, veterinary, industry or research) laboratory in the U.S., Canada or an accredited laboratory within the last 5 years.
• MLT: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent certification, is required within one year from the date of hire.
• MLS: Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), is required within one year from the date of hire.
• Histotechnician: ASCP Certification as Histotechnician (HT) or equivalent
