Craig Technologies has an opening for a Laboratory Operations Technician at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will provide technical backing for the maintenance and inspection of critical equipment as well as logistical expertise for the Laboratory Support Services (LSS) and Bioanalytical Core Facilities (BCF) at the NASA-Johnson Space Center. This role is a function of the Human Health and Performance Contract to support spaceflight operations projects as well as research studies conducted to advance future exploration missions. This position will work closely with the LSS engineers and laboratory stakeholders to ensure that laboratory and operational equipment is maintained in the safest manner, in accordance with established quality management system standards. This position will work closely with the LSS and BCF Leads to meet the contractual requirements of these teams. Other responsibilities include: receiving and distribution of dry ice, transportation of equipment for calibration, weekly eyewash and safety shower inspections, monitoring refrigerator and freezer performance and responding to off-nominal alerts after hours as needed, and coordinate division service contract procurement.
