Laboratory Operations Support Engineer
About The Position
Eurofins Scientific is hiring a Laboratory Operations Support Specialist to support day-to-day operations across Discovery and NDS laboratories at a PSS client site. The role focuses on equipment lifecycle management, asset tracking, compliance documentation, and operational process improvements. The position collaborates with laboratory personnel and cross-functional support teams to resolve operational challenges, maintain accurate records, and develop reporting and data-management solutions that improve laboratory efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site position in West Point, Pennsylvania, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates are encouraged to live within commuting distance of the site. Applicants must be authorized to work indefinitely in the country without sponsorship, subject to applicable law and company policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree in a related discipline.
- Authorization to work in the country indefinitely without sponsorship, subject to applicable law and company policy.

Responsibilities
- Support daily operations across Discovery and NDS laboratories to maintain efficient workflows and continuity of laboratory activities.
- Act as a liaison between laboratory personnel and internal and external support organizations, including facilities, engineering, and IT, coordinating resources and resolving operational issues.
- Coordinate equipment lifecycle activities, including onboarding, asset tracking, preventive maintenance scheduling, and equipment retirement, as applicable.
- Maintain accurate equipment and asset management records and ensure documentation and traceability throughout the equipment lifecycle.
- Support internal and external audits by compiling and providing equipment, environmental monitoring, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with migration, organization, and maintenance of equipment and operational records in CMMS and other applicable business systems.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, trackers, and data visualization tools using Power BI, SharePoint, Excel, and other business applications.
- Coordinate laboratory onboarding, including equipment readiness, documentation, and operational support requirements.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and other laboratory service activities with vendors, service providers, and internal support teams.
- Review and maintain operational documentation in accordance with applicable SOPs, departmental requirements, and established laboratory practices.
- Identify process-improvement opportunities, streamline operational workflows, and participate in cross-functional initiatives to enhance laboratory efficiency.
