About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring an experienced Lab Manager to work full time in Transfusion Services. The Laboratory Manager assumes responsibility and accountability for laboratory operations within a Sentara facility. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality services that meet or exceed customer expectations. Analyzes patient data and suggests physician protocol for confirming patient diagnosis; acts as a consultant to pathologists, physicians, and other team members; identifies needs and implements training to ensure laboratory staff competency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in science
• ASCP or AMT certification
• 3 years of laboratory leadership experience
• Transfusion (Blood Bank) experience

Responsibilities
