This position supports Stetson University by managing environmental and aquatic science laboratories on the main campus and at the Sandra Stetson Aquatic Center field station. Serving as a member of both the Department of Environmental Science and Studies (ENSS) & the Institute for Water and Environmental Resilience (IWER), the position requires proactive maintenance of laboratory equipment, collection and analysis of water quality and ecological field data, lead instructorship of introductory laboratory courses, and training and supervision of student research assistants. The Laboratory Manager works very closely with faculty to provide students with a rich array of practical experiences and technical skills in the environmental sciences that are in high demand among prestigious graduate programs, environmental consulting firms, and governmental agencies. This directly aligns with several of Stetson’s Strategic Priorities, including Experiential, Contemporary, and Integrative Learning, Student-Centered Success & Wellness, and Comprehensive Sustainability.
