About The Position

The Sample Splitter performs soil sample splitting by following instructions in LIMS (Lab Information Management System), which displays the required splits and checks. The work includes performing moisture checks as needed, weighing sample masses with a balance, and recording information in LIMS. The role also involves operating instrumentation and transferring data into LIMS. Additional duties include discarding samples from various bottle types when the LIMS program indicates they are ready for disposal, as well as other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with two available schedules: Friday through Monday, four 10-hour shifts on the second shift, or Tuesday through Saturday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. Training takes place on first shift, Monday through Friday, for three to four weeks.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work independently.
Basic computer skills, including data entry.
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Professional working proficiency in English, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English.

Responsibilities

Split soil samples according to the types of splits and checks displayed in LIMS.
